Randy ------------------PharmKat My drivers side regulator broke (just as it is for sale) and my dealer said $580 to replace it including labor. Does this sound reasonable? I know these damn things are hard to come by.
Scott 007/163onecatnodog Fix the one in there yourself as a lot has been posted on this topic and can be done for less than $25.00 and about 1 1/2 time with simple tools. Foottothefloor87 I paid 500 and a private shop for the work to be done and that was with parts and labor, so I don't think that is out of line. onecatnodog Check out the post by Kraut on 6-18-2006 in Technical Questions + Answers. Very Helpful fix and in 1 1/2 hours the repair can be done then let it set up over night and fixed for life...Done a repair myself but a little different but still working great.... brianwlong There are seven drivers side regulators in the Atlanta depot. I can have one in 1 day, and the POA price is $244.20. Let me know. Fastback Window regulator can be changed in about 1 hour (or less with experience). We changed a few at the dealership that I worked at, had it down to 30-40 minutes. catfish ck.out my post,do a search window reg repair, not quite as complicated as kraut and faster. ed monahan Kraut was at Louisville. He had his hand made spinners on his car. He is a true craftsman. He knows what he is doing. If you want to do it correctly, so that it lasts, I would follow Kraut's instructions to the letter. Again, the guy is a true craftsman.
He has an ingenious fix for the side window leaks, also.cnote6 quote:
